Summary

This promising grant opportunity is available to ponprofit organizations operating in Massachusetts. The primary aim is to empower local nonprofits that serve community vitality, equity, essential needs and creative or structural initiatives.

Two streams of funding are offered: one focuses on direct service support (for example for food, shelter, clothing or general operating costs) up to $30,000, and another addresses capacity building or organizational transformation (such as reorganization, merger planning, or business-model innovation) up to $20,000.

Organizations must be tax-exempt under IRS guidelines (501(c)(3)) and based in or serving the geographic region in question.

The intent of the funds is flexible: in the direct service stream the funds can support essential needs and related services, both programmatic and operational; the capacity building stream is aimed at helping organizations strengthen their infrastructure and long-term sustainability. Eligible applicants are nonprofit associations—not individuals, not small businesses.

The successful applicants are expected to demonstrate a clear need, commitment to equity and inclusive practice, and the possibility of meaningful community impact. This grant therefore offers nonprofits the chance to access up to $30,000 or $20,000 depending on the track, to further their mission and enhance their capacity in service of all residents in their region.

Organizations and individuals based in Massachusetts who are engaged in Arts, Culture, History & Humanities may be eligible to apply for this funding opportunity.
